Exercise has been spotty since the first of the year. I have probably worked out 9 times in the 18 days since the first of the year. Luckily, I have also been cleaning out the house and filling a large dumpster with rubbish, and I spent three days cutting and splitting firewood. They may not be a planned "workout", but they do help keep the pulse up.

Overslept this morning , and I have to be in the office earlier than usual today, so skipped the gym. Plan B is a short run tonight and to make sure I'm up in time tomorrow.

Heavy leg session last night - squats, calves and deadlifts. Felt fine at the time; hip is feeling it today though

    Chest tonight

Swimming up a storm lately. I really quite enjoy it. Except for the horrible chlorine. It really is a great workout.

I don't think I like swimming - even in a nice pool in the blistering sun I tend to loll around mostly. So I'm pretty sure I'd hate swimming in a chlorinated indoor pool. Haven't tried it in years.

6 km this am at -30C. "Refreshing" is an understatement.

Swimming (indoors) would have been a more appealing option.

14.5 km at +3C this afternoon - I whimped out earlier whem it was -1C. Some snow and ice on the ground still.

I like swimming, but am way slow; one of the reasons I do not compete in triathlons (quarters and halfs, that is): it takes me over 1 hour to swim 1 mile. My favorite pull got converted from chlorine to saline; the difference is very noticeable and I really enjoy this pool.

5am in the gym today. Upper body, chest, back, shoulders. Took 2+ hours but the burn was worth it,,,,,,,I think.

Tomorrow 120 minutes of cardio, then time to get my head examined.........

I have been pretty consistent with working out 3-4 days per week. Today I had originally planned to go work out. After spending 4 hours working on the yard and moving dirt, I was sore enough lol.

Comfortably (welll...) deadlifting 120kg which is nice. Did some clean and press, which was horrible. And then a run with the mutt.
