I wonder what she would have thought of being described as a Downton Abbey and Harry Potter star.

One of the greatest of Dames, that’s for sure.

So. Effin'. Sad. She was a treasure, and she will be missed.

Losing James Earl Jones and Maggie Smith so close to one another is difficult. Two acting legends.

I'm not a country music fan by any stretch, but I do enjoy the old outlaws: Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Emmyloy Harris. Today is a sad day as we lost another one.

Do yourself a favor and listen to the Highwaymen.

One of my all-time favorite Red Sox.

Phil Lesh, Grateful Dead, age 84

"Philip Chapman Lesh (March 15, 1940 – October 25, 2024) was an American musician and a founding member of the Grateful Dead, with whom he played bass guitar throughout their 30-year career."

Hah... 30 year career? (wikipedia) I was a few years old when I heard the Warlocks practicing in a garage behind our house in Menlo Park CA, around 1966. My dad used to fix guitar amps for Guitars Unlimited in the early 70s when he was unemployed, and he used to laugh at the stains on some old Fenders. That culture has been a part of my life ever since, whether or not I knew it. May Phil find his beautiful box of rain.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.
