Well, well, well…

I’m not a car buff, but I thought I knew about the makers from my boyhood. I even had a little ‘spotters’ book where you ticked them off when you saw them.
When you put my truck motor in a 190E just so well done

Just playing catch-up with this thread...
This prompted me to sift through the pictures that I took at the Thruxton Classic race meeting earlier this year, as I know I'd seen a Turner there. This one is a Mk1 with (I was told) a Coventry Climax engine:
Who isn't ?!A couple from the same race meeting as above:
Elan
Europa
This was parked trackside. Elan +2
... and a couple of mine from the same day for @geoffbot, as he asked nicely; albeit a good while ago.![]()
One from when I got back home:
As this is a watch forum after all - A bonus pic:

Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.
Oh, Lotus.
The only company that’s never lost its way. No wonder they’re not popular, they appeal to fools like me who think driving is something you should savor, enjoy, and pay attention to.
Used to be able to say that about Porsche too, but not anymore, sadly.
