So funny - we're pretty hardcore watch guys but changing a battery is a struggle for most or us

Don't ask a racecar driver to replace the water pump on his hotrod.

Exactly. I'm a car guy, but don't ask me to do anything more complicated than adding air to the tires.

I've got that covered, or, perhaps uncovered as I don't wear socks until the dead middle of winter.

A piece fetched record price for a Bengali artist, between $600,000 and $700,000. His name is Zainul Abedin and my mother owns one of his original pieces. It’s hanging in her house right now. Had it framed a few years ago to keep it safe from fading. It was last valued at $40,000 around the time it was framed.

I would rather swap out a transmission than tear into a watch movement

I've done timezone level 1 which is disassembly, inspection, cleaning and reassembly of a time only movement. Good fun. It's fiddly, but you don't really get stuck on things like you do in cars - seized or almost completely inaccessible bolts, etc. Also cars are a pain if its your primary transport mode and/or don't have sufficient space to keep on a lift or jack stands whilst the part that you didn't know you needed until you opened it up is shipped.

Confession
Using a breaker bar on a stuck bolt is soothing. I'm talking downright meditative.
Agreed on space though. Went with a third garage place this last time around so projects can sit if needed lol
