Very sad. Hopefully someone gets them sorted out.

One of my friends had a RX8 when I had the Quattro TT and we had several fun drives home after work. I learned from watching him that lighter and a bit more peeky Hp only works on longer straight away. Being my third Quattro I learned under 45 you can lift off make a 90 degree turn then nail the throttle and it will just stick wet or dry if you have good tires. The RX8 spin out doing the same move at much lower speed.
When I bought my first Quattro it was raining very heavy the next day in the morning which was a Sunday. At 6am I had the whole mall back parking lot to myself. I spent a few hours probing the limits of the car so I understood what it could do in the wet. The following weekend the same in the dry. From this I deducted that an 2002 A4 Quattro if you hit something you were aiming for it. I could hang the tail out a little, but it never seemed to loose it. It goes where you point it. If AWD is available in a car I get it. Probably the best safety option money can buy. People seem to think it is for snow including the dealerships. They don’t seem to order it much down here. It works even better in heavy rain and the benefit is it does not pull the wheel out of your hand when one or more wheels catch water. That it has many benefits in the dry is icing on the cake.

As for challenges, I generally judge the cars in front of me to decide which one will leave the light faster and take that lane. One of the few times I picked the wrong car the two cars where a Suzuki wagon and a Porsche Boxster. Green light and the Boxster accelerated very slowly to 25 mph and the Suzuki took off quickly with the five cars behind it in tow. When I could then get over and pass the Boxster all I saw in the drivers seat was a set of knuckles on the wheel and the top of a grey bun in the drivers seat. I have no idea what she could actually see. No requirements to get a Porsche other than being able to pay for it.

As one of the other truck people here, I can’t make the same claims. I’ve gone over 35 years without getting a ticket or accidents that were my fault. Since I’ve already admitted it I can’t say I don’t drive fast, but I don’t drive over my limits for conditions. I don’t street race, and I’m more of a technical driver trying new lines on a curve to learn which is best for the vehicle I’m driving. I constantly practice to be smooth, and most passengers don’t realize we’re going as fast as we are.
While I sprint from stop lights in my truck I’ve never been faster than 89 mph in it. I see no reason finding its top speed in a truck since it’s generally governed. Since my trucks are generally the best the manufacturer offers for off road , i know the tires on these only pull low gs and have long braking distances (Tests confirm this includes the Raptor) on the road. Hook up a trailer and ‘I’m never more than 5mph over the speed limit max but I always work up to it. For the most part people in Florida drive fast with the seniors being the exception. When I go back down to South Florida I see driver quality go down a large amount as I merge onto the Turnpike. Also south of Orlando most of the cars are not over four years old so they are most likely mechanically sound. I also know that there is a 40% chance the person in the cars next to me does not have a license so I drive accordingly.. Smooth is defensive and gives me time to react.

I was thinking at first chapter 11 is restructuring, not out of business, but this is Germany so different rules. Since there are dozens of car companies that use their seats let’s hope someone steps in. I did not know they had a separate business that made baby seats and gaming chairs among other things which seems to be doing well..

I think that business is part of the unaffected areas.
The separate Recaro Group, which manufactures and licenses child safety seats, aircraft seats, gaming chairs and seats for soccer stadiums, is not affected by this filing.
They do not specify desk chairs, but that would seem to be this group. Only the auto seat division, their original business, is affected. Personally, I prefer Herman Miller desk chairs.
