Add that I can't remember when I last saw a set of mini lite wheels (And in very good condition). We have a friend who has a built-up one of these. It's pushing over 450 hp at the rear wheels.
    Cheers,

    Michael

A few people asked me if I got the new truck. We put the truck/GX/Land Cruiser on hold for inventory to build up. Add that Ram released a more-off road model called the RHO that has not begun to show up at the dealers currently. The Raptors are set up for desert running, where the RHO is a mix with a bit more trail intent. Last I checked, Florida does not have a desert, but quite a few rough, wet trails. Checking every box on the RHO build site shows that it is $25K less than the Raptor. It has a 540 hp inline six that still yields in the low 20mpg on the highway. Unfortunately, it does not come in the green. The Raptor is a bit more capable, but it is nearly 100 hp down to the Ram and very wide. We'll need to figure out it that capability is worth the higher cost?
    Cheers,

For discussion, favorite new features and least favorite new features in current vehicles. For me, my current favorite is 360-degree camera systems. We like big vehicles so you don't have to compromise on what and who you can take. Our Lexus LS sedan and the Nissan Frontier have 360 camera systems, which make it easy to judge lines on these long and wide vehicles and keep you from creeping into the space in front of you when they don't have the wheel stops. Massive improvement over backup only cameras. Since I constantly see mini parked with a tire on each side touching a line or an SUV three feet into the empty space you are trying to park in. This is a great aid to cure that.

Having driven several of the C8 Corvettes and several other new trucks and SUVs lately, I really do not like the camera-based projection rearview mirrors. I lose trust in it, giving me an accurate image when someone leans over in front of it or has a hand in front of it, and it does not show like a mirror. We have dogs, and I want to also see things that are going on in the backseat which I can't since it's only showing me behind the vehicle. Every time I'm driving a vehicle with one of these, I return it to normal mirror mode. For me, it is a waste of money to get this option. I could tolerate it in a side-view mirror.

I had a 360 degree overhead parking camera on my rental Nissan Armada a few years back. You have to imagine that going from driving a Z4 everyday to a massive land-based aircraft carrier would be very jarring for me, which it was, but having that parking camera made the trip incident free and removed all parking lot anxiety. Absolutely fantastic technology, I couldn’t agree with you more. My hotel had a pretty tight parking lot and I never once had to worry thanks to that.

I’ve never driven a car with that, but my instinct is that I’d feel the same way you do. It doesn’t sound like something I’d be able to trust either.

I thought the RHO would sneak its way into consideration it seems capable, and the price point is undeniable what I would say in defense of Ford is that the 37 package suspension is worth every penny nothing else compares. This raptor is my 11th full size pickup and this being the last vehicle bought for me by my previous employer means I am keeping it but so far 2 years in its really been flawless.Good luck with the search and just to do a little more enabling this is a forum friends shelter green with stealth ppf wrap looks amazing

That is exactly the one I want if I get one. The 37" tires on the Raptor are unique to it and a great advantage in deep water. I've had a good history with Ford Trucks and I've had about 6 now. That Raptor price puts the Lexus LX 600 into the mix. Due to the cost of building the Land Cruiser, the next-gen was pricing it out of the brand range, so they made it a Lexus, which has a huge margin advantage over the G Wagon. My wife really wants a G-Wagon but even certified preowned it is a $150K vehicle. The candidate list keeps going up instead of down. Luckily the ZR2 Chevy and GMC equivalent are not competitive. The only appealing item in those is that the diesel engine is a $1000 upgrade. If we do this it needs to be under 6 figures on the road.
