Went to Devon Seafood with a couple friends on Friday, had a lovely meal. Incredible shrimp cocktail. So fresh and flavorful, housemade cocktail sauce accentuated the natural sweetness of the shrimp, and they were so big you could bludgeon an evil clown to death with one. And, not only that, the sea bass was cooked to perfection. I don’t normally order fish when I’m out to dinner, I do a lot of red meat and shellfish, but I thought I’d change things up and add more cooked fish to my diet. I was not disappointed, it was one of the best pieces of fish I’ve eaten. You expect these high end chains to be good, but I didn’t expect them to be that good. And I had a Sidecar for the first time. I liked it; not going to replace my mainstays, but very boozy and I appreciate that about old school cocktails. Newer cocktails are all like one measure of vodka and six hundred other ingredients, all of which just act to mask the flavor of the vodka so it doesn’t taste like anything.

@Raza- Nice. We were recently in Victoria, British Columbia for Mrs. K's 60th and I had the best single dish I've had in several years at a relatively new restaurant there. It's been open less than a year and already made Canada's top 100 list. The crispy skin striped seabass on broccolini with XO sauce was phenomenal.
