Don’t know, really. Couple factors, I suppose. One, before the pandemic, I was dating a girl who didn’t drink and I was studying for the bar, so I was drinking very little at the time. I’d decided to stop drinking at home unless I’m entertaining, just mainly for the empty calories. Then, the pandemic happened and my brother’s anxiety has made it almost impossible for him to drive, so if we take a car anywhere, I’m driving, and I don’t drink at all if I’m driving. And, since I’m mostly a cocktail guy, and partly since it offends me a little to pay restaurant prices for a bottle of beer, I only get beer on tap, and I generally only want a beer if there isn’t a cocktail I’d rather have.
I will say that I have a wine with dinner exception to my no booze at home rule. Wine is just juice and juice is a health food.

Wine is the only alcohol I drink while eating. Rarely do I drink beer with food, and almost never with a cocktail. Same with coffee. I only drink it before breakfast or after, but seldom during.
At least your reasons make sense. I’m just weird.
