They are becoming super common in the city.Not many prairie dogs left anywhere, but lots of jackrabbits, plus cats and dogs in the city.

Tabanus bovinus or giant pale Horsefly got me today I really wasn't prepared for this encounter and it startled me in a bad way i almost jumped off the dock while showering after fishing I don't recall ever having that much blood drawn before

My crow-friends Bruce and Spruce have been bringing their new fledge along lately, demonstrating how to request treats. I startled the little one while trying to get a photo through the kitchen window, so accidentally got this photo of a startled juvenile crow in takeoff.
