While in France I wanted to check some Yemas in steel. I’ve been intrigued by Urban Traveller, since it reminds me IWC Ingenieur 3239.

So went to an AD and tried it on. Dial and bracelet were nice, although butterfly clasp and no micro adjustment.

But I wasn’t impressed by side profile, looks a bit clumsy to me. Especially compared to small Ingenieur.

I liked more the vintage JLC Memovox I saw in one window display, only 4,5k€.

    - and whether I killed the value by having JLC restore it?

Yours looks to be in better condition, especially the hands. So I would expect it’s worth more.

I would have done exactly what you did, and I don't think it would hurt the value. I think the cultist Rolex collectors who want all that wabi-sabi are exceptions, and most would prefer a beautiful factory restoration like what you did.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.
