I like her content. How many stuffy, pretentious watch YouTubers can you watch? She’s a refreshing change.

If the fabric strap is like the one on the BB58, I’d have to change it. Many people love it, but their soft is my floppy.
I didn’t even really pay much attention to it until it was pointed out, but it doesn’t bother me. It’s an odd choice, admittedly, but by the spacing on the bezel, it looks like the edge of the numerals where there are only three markers between is about right to act as an extra “marker”. It doesn’t seem like it impacts the usability in any meaningful way.
I don’t think it’s the same. The FXD comes with two, one is one of those Velcro Speedmaster-style straps and the other is like a woven rubber pass through strap. Neither seems to appeal much to me. I like the pattern of the Velcro one, but I don’t like how the contact patches work; depending on your wrist size, unless it’s perfect, you have either exposed contact patch with no design on it (which may pick up lint or dust or dirt, who knows) or the tail is too long if you have wrist that’s smaller. I’d likely replace them immediately, but that’s also not different, since I’d likely take a BB58 off the bracelet and put it on a NATO for the rest of the summer anyway.

Any way you can try one on? I thought I recalled reading about them wearing a bit different due to the fixed lug design. Bothers some, not others

I can check with Govberg to see if they have one in stock, but I doubt it. Apparently they’re quite hard to find when new. But everything I’ve read sounds likes it wears slightly smaller than the Pelagos standard, which works for me because the regular Pelagos is probably close to the upper limit of size for what I like on my wrist.

Tim usually does a good job with showing watches and their dimensions/fit. He says 16cm, but he's trying to sell a watch. I think the watch would fit right for someone with a 17cm+ wrist.

It’s called 42mm by 52mm, something like that, but the case is 41mm and the “true” lug to lug is more like 49mm. The bezel gives it an extra 1mm of width and the fixed bar is what gives the watch the extra 3mm of length, but it’s both hidden by the strap and curved downwards toward the wrist. I think it’ll wear fairly similarly to my BB GMT, at 41mm x 49mm and change, but it is thinner (before the strap) and much lighter.
My wrist is about 7.5”/19cm around, so I think it’ll be a good fit.
From Britt Pearce’s video^^
Honestly, the more I see of it and the more I read about it, the more it’s feeling like this has been hitting me in the face all this time and I’ve been agonizing over other watches instead.
I doubt anyone remembers, but I’ve wanted a Pelagos for such a long time. When I initially bought my Black Bay blue, the Pelagos was a stretch goal for me. Ultimately, I went with the Black Bay largely due to it being no date and having a much more amenable price tag. This gives a no date dial that’s sleeker because it doesn’t have that stepped rehaut, thickness comparable to my old ETA Black Bay, and gives me the blue diver I’ve been craving. The Tudor Submariner I’ve been craving all along might actually be a Pelagos and not a BB58.
Over time it’s become obvious that Tudor won’t be making a no date Pelagos and it seems unlikely to me that a blue Pelagos 39 will be coming out any time soon if it hasn’t happened already. Maybe a year, then another year before it’s available to a regular buyer like me.
Obviously, you know me, I’m not one for impulse decision. I’m going to sleep on it for a few more days and if I’m still smitten, I’ll start the process.

I have a 17cm and have considered buying one. I don't think you'll be disappointed in the fit.

I’m going to have to start a thread, I think. Really think this one out. I don’t like making the wrong call, so I’m quite cautious about it these days.

I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve just about watched everything about it. I might have to do it.
