Chevy does the same thing with the Z06R Corvette since they no longer field a factory team so all GT and GTP Corvettes are private. Cadillac is the factory car in the GT Prototype class.
I mean, for one of these homologation special/race car for the road types of cars, it’s pretty cool looking. Over the top, but that’s fine. You’re not meant to take it to PTA meetings or for the school run, so it doesn’t need to look respectable. I kind of dig it. I hate the name GTD, since that immediately reminds me of the Volkswagen Golf GTD, their diesel version of the GTI. Makes me think it’s a diesel. I also don’t love that it’s dual clutch, but in a car like this, it “makes sense” with the narrative they’re selling, so I just accept it as a fact of life.

Cool ride but I will take my wife's Mach 1 with the Tremec for the street it's pretty fast ,with enough power to get you into trouble and with the handling package dry summer conditions are so much fun I just need ro drive it as much as I wash it ..

Man, I’ll tell you what. I am so over the horsepower arms race. At some point, it’s just all too much; you’re buying bragging rights, not a car. What’s the point of all that potential if you can’t even access 20% of it without ending up in court?

    Just give me a vintage 911, maybe a 964, maybe a targa.

I know that’s a Singer 964, so not exactly the same thing, but you get the idea. Even it, though, only has 390HP, it’s not like it’s insanely high powered. The only thing insane about it is the price.

Replacement for my wrecked Aprilia. Swapped mirrors, bars, removed stickers. Previous owner did Termi slip ons and tune. Got a bunch of fun stuff on order for it.

Monster? When I was considering bikes, the Monster was always high on my list. Congratulations, it looks great!

Congrats and probably a better choice than the MV. Ducati are dangerous for the bank account; you can blow through several thousand in carbon fiber; then you start with Titanium and magnesium parts, including all the hardware. I had a built-up 900SS that, with a full tank of gas, was 304.43 lbs. It's a fun bike, but when it got windy, it would scare the $hit out of you since it had a lot of sail area from the side. I never want to add up what I spent on that bike. I had seven different Ducati but never a monster. I always meant to get one, but something else always lured me in another direction. Now that would be top on my list, or a Triumph Bonneville variant. It would definitely need higher bars for me now. But, I'm not going to go look.

mine would have been a new version of a British classic (but now not British ? ) the royal Enfield bullet 350.

I wanted a Triumph Thruxton more than anything, might still be my favorite bike. Although, lately, the Norton Commando 961 has been haunting my dreams:

Yes. 1200S. Thanks, I'm loving it so far - much like a new watch, there's a long honeymoon period.

That 900SS was light, big fan of those.

I have a friend with a very customized SF1098 that is a bad influence when it comes to mods/customizing. He already gave me the new bars and I have some stuff on the way - rearsets, levers, couple carbon bits. I have some maintenance to do on several vehicles, so I'll wait until later this year to go crazy.
