    It’s easy to cherry pick photos where they don’t look as good (although I’d say it’s a push on the Mustang and an improvement on the GTI). Just as easy to cherry pick ones where they’re so perfect, replacing them would be a sin.

    Black wheels with a machined, brushed, or polished lip look better than an all black wheel. With all black you lose the visual break between the tire and wheel.

    I still prefer a dark charcoal. Both my Z06 and M3 are dark charcoal, hides brake dust and they look better (IMO!) than all black.

    I think it can help to have some non-black elements, yes. But not a polished lip. Too much shiny. Brushed is much better.
