Decided it was long past time I stopped being lazy. My beater is a 240k mile Accord, and the lights were showing their age. After some recent night drives, I accepted it was time to polish up the lenses

Thanks gents! Instead of buying a $40 kit or a cheaper one with two "pads" the size of a half dollar, I went with wet sand paper from 1000-2500 grit, finished by hand with a clear polish and Terry towel

I did it on the car and my SUV. Pleased with the results, but my arm is a bit sore today lol

There is a Mcguire's product to put on these when new or after you clean them to protect them from doing this in the future. It's called Keep Clear, and I see 3M and a few others have versions also.
    Cheers,

Went to Mercedes benz world with work. Skid pan and track in v8 c63 amg, off roading in a diesel g wagon. Way fun. More fun when they put in in sport mode, but I do prefer the responsiveness of my inline 6 to the lumpy v8 (auto didn't help with responsiveness) Attachment 127517
