I got a hearty laugh at this one

Enjoyed a dram or two of quality scotch, bourbon, or dark Rum for years. Never much, always on ice. Ended that a few years back when prices started to feel unreasonable. Now those prices I considered unreasonable would be cheap!

It's down to the last couple of shots so I considered replacing it even though I find it to be a bit spicy (I prefer the 10, 12, and 15). My local big stores are ABC and Total Wine. I saw the current price and fell off my chair. It's averaging $400 for a standard 750ml bottle. I paid under 100. Then I looked for Blanton's Bourbon which I paid about 60 for and it's over $300!!!!
We can't even get Blanton's here at any price anymore. I know of one shop 600 km away that gets a case once a year. They have a lottery to pick the lucky 12.
