question can you push the button ok but then stays their till you push the button from inside? if soo most not all of these ones have a little tiny metal clip with a spring between the clip and the button to restore tension as soon as you let the button go ... so could be missing that ..
it easy to knock them out some times even if not actually removing the module and just doing a bat swap out soo could be that is that the time&tide one now ? .

No, it springs back, just slowly and weakly, like it needed some greasing. That's why my ideas with WD-40 and lubricants.

As far as I can tell after having quite a good look today, those clips (that look a bit like metal washers) are all in place.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.
Edit: Ah, if you're asking about the watch features, it's an 'outdoor' model and IIRC it's supposed to be useful for fishing, but I can't remember if it was temperature or tides or moon phases... Something there, though.

yeah mines a moon phase / tidal graph but the lugs busted off so was waiting to find a non working one with a decent case but for now they are boxed up my spares are ant looked at fixing owt in six months or so
sounds like a build up of crap around the button might be worth using a bunt needle or something and scaping around the outside of the button to free it up . have had to do that on a few casio's .
