    100%

You can argue all day that modern automatics are faster, more efficient, whatever, and that’s all factually correct. Doesn’t change the fact that driving them makes me feel like I’m simply rolling down the street into an open coffin ready to be lowered into a grave.

Speaking as one of said 'old guys': Just buy an Emira, already !
I want one! But even with the deal I’m working on wrapping up hopefully this month, I still won’t have the budget; it’s about two and a half times my stretched budget.

I have been looking at Evoras on occasion, though. They’re only about $10,000-15,000 too much.

I don't wanna buy a car where I know I'll always want a newer or higher model which is why I'm pretty happy with the M4 and reckon I'd be less happy with a c4s. Or an evora where I just know I'd want an emira.

A elise might work, I wouldn't be lusting after an exige or anything, but not practical enough.

The only problem I have with the Elise is that if I get one, I know that I will reduce everything in my life so I could fit it in my Elise and then I’d hit the road and no one would ever hear from me again.

    Actually…

Thats a little odd , foxed me when going over the manual (book that is) , moving the 'gear lever' to the right can select 'gears'. May have tried at times , just don't see the point , it shifts anyway . If , at lights in the mood will leave most in the mirror anyway. Still find that kind of kick

To be fair, it was probably around $80K new and has exceptionally low miles…but it does seem a tad bit 10Kishly overpriced, yeah.
