Congrats! Looks fantastic. Nice strap combo too though I suspect this watch will be quite flexible.

    Love that.
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

    Paradice lost...but mostly regained

Alas, I fell victim to my impulse to buy before having done the required razvedka. As astute observers probably guessed from one of the pix I posted of the watch in question it turned out to be a fake, a rank pretender to the throne. I'm appalled by how easily I could've determined this prior to buying if I had just done some very basic due diligence.

The good news is that Chrono24, the site from which I bought the watch, lived up to their obligation to reverse the purchase and get my $$$ refunded. The process was relatively painless. Once I became suspicious I contacted them and told them the watch was bogus. They instructed me to get written verification of its bogosity from a reputable source. I contacted Sinn customer service, sent them pix of the watch, and requested that they verify in writing to Chrono24 that it was in fact fake. Once this was done Chrono24 contacted the seller to advise them of my request to reverse the purchase and get my $$$ back. The seller then sent me a prepaid return waybill and instructed that I should pack the watch carefully. So I wrapped it with all the care I'd take with a tactical nuclear device and sent it on its way. Per Chrono24 policy the seller had three days to inspect the returned watch and, assuming it was returned in proper condition, refund my money. And -- mirabile dictu! -- the refund showed up in my credit card account.

Notwithstanding that I came out of this relatively unscathed I feel like a proper twat for having let my impulses get the better of me. I was so besotted with finding exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price that I unconsciously suspended disbelief. As they say...if it's too good to be true... B^|

Having never seen an original in pictures or in person, I don’t know what’s not right. What tipped you off?

I'm sad about the fakery, but happy to hear that all the parties involved did the right thing.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.
