I quit yesterday. My last day is tomorrow. I was not doing the job I was told I would be doing. I do not have the skill set to work in that classroom. It's a great opportunity for someone to do a lot of good and really help some kids, but that person isn't me. I wish it was because it sounded great. I turned down one job for this one so I called them Tuesday. I have to go through the interview process again, which sucks, but the job is mine. I'll start, probably, the Monday after next. Larger caseload and a not insignificant pay cut but you can't buy sanity so I'll make that trade.

Can't buy sanity indeed. Fair play mate - great that you had options. Gotta try these things.

Fire pit season is in the early stages. Enjoying a cidah (or three) and grilling brats and s'mores. Listening to one of the Dead and Company shows we saw in Boston this past summer.

Not so much in July or August, but I’m always up for the fire pit.
