Out walking near the ocean this afternoon, trying to stay out of the dense in-town traffic for the Ferrari judged competition. Beautiful day with some interesting cars passing by on our walk. We also learned this morning that we have two special passes for the actual Concours d'Elegance event at Pebble Beach this Sunday. So, you can expect a bunch more photos. Please remember, I am not really that into cars, so don't tease me for being clueless.

Here's an unreleased new model of the Hispanico Suiza Carmen, all electric carbon fiber and aluminum, 1000 hp, $1.7M base price, one of 24 to be made according to the company rep we spoke with. The video crew passed us with cameras rolling while we were walking, and we then caught up with them as they were planning their next sequence.

As we were chatting, this 1934 Ford V8 roadster passed us, and the video crew turned their cameras towards it.

On the return trip, this yellow thing was trying to find parking. Is it a new Ferrari SF90 Pininfarina? I think I see that name on the side, but I don't see the horse logo anywhere. We couldn't get closer, as it was turning.

Here's what the day looked like along the coast. Stunning weather. Maybe some thunderstorms forming over the mountains inland.

    No…?

Red Ferraris are done, they’re cliched, they’re boring. It’s the second to last color I’d choose for a Ferrari. Boring and cliched is still better than yellow.

At first I thought this was a Le Ferarri, but after poking around online, I think this is the Pininfarina Battista.

Oh yes, the B6. I misremembered earlier, the B6 was the same in Europe as it was here, it was the following generation that split. I was always a fan of the B6 design, very handsome car.

I had to go to Reddit for the 500 Superfast, but I do believe you’ve cracked this one. Nearly 1,900HP, 1,700TQ, and $2.5m ($2.9m for one of the 5 anniversary editions). An EV, it hits 60mph in 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of 217mph (which, frankly, seems low for that kind of power output, I imagine it’s either got active aero that doesn’t go into a “speed mode” like the Veyron’s or top speed is low for some sort of battery concern). Only 150 made (5 of which are anniversary models).

Apparently it’s running a Rimac powertrain, which you might recognize as one of the cars that almost killed Richard Hammond.

Car Week report for Friday: After an errand up in Monterey got us stuck in traffic enough to be finished for the day, we only made it down to the shopping area to gawk at a few parked sports cars. A Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren - pretty standard fare for the week. I hope to have the Ferrari Owners Club photos tomorrow.

    Mine?

Trust me, after a week of listening to these overcompensating rich dudes rev their first gears at stop lights, I would rather host a convention of VW owners.
