It's actually dark green metallic; they call it 'dark verdant'. It's a very tricky colour to capture because (of the curves) it changes from every angle.

Right, I’ve looked it up now. A different shade in every picture - all of them alluring.

Yeah, sorry about that Geoff, but as I said: I'm not one to blab until there's something to blab about. It's been a somewhat frustrating wait (first world problem, I know) since I put in my order and first deposit (August 2021) with several delays and a £5,000 price hike , I didn't want to jinx it. Call it superstitious old nonsense if you will, but that's the way I'm wired.

    Yes green - 'Dark Verdant'
Yes 'touring suspension'.... and I plan to 'tour' the highlands next week.

Yes it has a gearbox ... 6 speed manual ('obviously')

PS: You never did tell us how you got on at Thruxton ? (unless I missed it ?)

So, today I finally got to realize a life-long dream of owning a Lotus and went to pick up this:

To say I’m ecstatic doesn’t really begin to describe how I feel.
Congratulations! I could not be more jealous! Did you get Sport or Touring? Is that the green or is it black? I need more pictures. And driving impressions. And a long term report.

When I get one, I am getting blue. But the green is gorgeous too.

My exact config you bastard. Come to think of it you were very excited about my trackday.

Yeah I did a couple of posts on the cars thread. Tbh I enjoyed the cayman more but only cos I was better in it, and my driver was like push it push it push it, and the emira was harder to drive initially (I stalled it) and the instructor grabbed the wheel which was annoying. On the track you appreciate driving more than the car. Car is appreciated on the street. It's gorgeous though, a definite grail for me still. I'll buy yours for half price in a few years? Look after it for me.

    Post ownership updates please.

I too, was originally taken with the 'Seneca Blue', but once I'd seen the Dark Verdant in real life/light - I was sold; the way it changes in different light and different angles does it for me. ... and if the sun ever comes out I'll try to capture it in all its glory.

Does it help that I have the full black alcantara interior and steering wheel with yellow stitching ?

Yes, I was a bit jealous that you'd get to drive one 'in anger' before I did, and I nearly let the cat out of the bag. I had to behave on my test drive (accompanied) and I'm supposed to keep mine under 4k rpm for the first 500 miles, then increase gradually over the next 3-500 miles. The gentle trip up to the Highlands (Cairngorms) should take care of the first part of that, and by the time I get back home it should be nicely bedded in (so to speak). I may have even learned how to drive it properly by then.

The sun ?... Yeah, well, heading for the Highlands (tomorrow) probably ain't the right direction to be going; but open roads it has in abundance and there'll be a good few miles on the clock by the time I get home.

I’ve already put around 3,000 miles on mine…in Forza Horizon 5.
