    Here are the categories:

    1. Western Mediterranean (Italy, Spain, France)
    2. Eastern Mediterranean (Greece, Lebanon, Turkey)
    3. East Asian (Thai, V-Namese, Chinese, japanese Korean)
    4. South American
    5. North American
    6. Indian (Indian, Cambodian, Malay, Indonesian)

After hours of suffering, I ended up choosing Western Med. Gaaa!!!!! I love all the others too!
Not that I could pick just one, but if I had to it would likely be North African.

Couldn't we say that that is for all intents and purposes, "Eastern" Mediterranean?

Most of Morocco isn't even on the Med at all, let alone the Eastern half

    We mean "culturally" not geographically.

Even half of Libya is straight south of Italy. All the best food is west of that. Call it Western Mediterranean and you most definitely have a deal. I could easily eat that plus Spanish, Italian and French.

For me, Real Italian food is the best. If I had to choose, that would be it.
    Chinese as a good second

Me either (well, shopping in a nice butcher or online is fun but not supermarkets thanks). And I like cooking enough, but so does the wife.

Ah, fish roe salad. That sounds delicious.
