Been a while since I was here

This got delivered yesterday and it's put a smile on my face ever since
Duzu DW-D3 Australis blue with Southern Right Whale inspired design

42mm but wears smaller than that thanks to those short, curved lugs (modelled after the whale's flippers) hugging the curved, etched case (modelled after the whale's balleen plates) The dial is a luminous sandwich with applied indices are holes modelled after the blowhole, the bezel pointer is the tale flukes., jaws modelled after the jaw bones.300m rated from Western Australia. all for $570AUD



Even came with an extra strap and a lined canvas travel roll

Oil filled Sinn that was viewable from nearly side-on - conventional design, unconventional execution.


One conventional Omega PO from Swatch Group and one that was 200m rated with nothing but o-rings 'n' plastic!



Deep Blue Day/Night Recon - conventional looking during the day...




...bit of a christmas tree at night




A titanium Doxa Sub 600Ti with a similar trick




Just not as radioactive as the Deep Blue ( different rules in Switzerland vs USA) and technically not a dive watch since they didn't put a tiny tritium tube on the seconds hand, so you can't see if its running when it's dark



And a quartet of Thrifty Fathoms that are just plain fun.
