What kind of Ferrari could you get with £200K? A pedal car?

Yeah, that’s exactly why I look at these types of transmissions simply as automatics and not as any sort of “race transmission” like they try to sell you in their marketing copy. It’s bullshit—the Tiptronic in my Mercedes didn’t shift up when you hit redline and that was a midsize sedan from 20 years ago. If you’re selling me “racing technology” that results in a gearbox that makes its own decisions, even in manual mode, it’s just another automatic.

    ^^^

Not far from my sister’s house, that one. Not that she’d know a Ferrari from a Ferrero Rocher, so I won’t ask her to take a look.

Something not right there. Did it have the Sport Chrono package? That would allow you to configure full manual plus a ton of other things. Porsches do allow full manual when equipped correctly.

Yes it’s the M stripes as in X1 M sport. Hang out is a little strong, more like observe from afar.

I did have the A4. But after the water pump issue, and a potential Turbo problem, I made the switch. It’s a new to me car (2021).

Not a bad choice….but if you won 200K you’d blow it all on a car?
