Just started Germinating a couple Thai Chili plants. This grow lamp and that teal pot will be going on my desk at work.
Also in there is a couple Cantaloupe, Cucumber, and Watermelon. (They’re a bit late, but we’re just taking a chance. No shortage of seeds.)

Speaking of peppers, my Carolina Reaper plant seems to be doing ok:

Hard to photograph, I messed up and it’s among some corn.

    Freyja high Corn:

Super excited about the pumpkin plant. I really need a newer picture of it. It’s crawling along nicely.

And of course the Herb garden:

    Total we have:
Corn (“peaches and cream”), Two types of Strawberries, Peas, 2 types of carrots, 4 (& counting) cucumber plants - 3 varieties, Sweet Peppers x3 plants, Carolina Reaper, Cilantro, Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Asparagus, Cantaloupe, Pumpkin x2 plants, Sunflowers (both edible and ornamental) and 4 or 5 types of tomatoes x10 plants. I’ve lost count on the tomatoes. Half of them were gifts.

I’ve become addicted to hot peppers and now have a seed collection greater than the capacity of my property. Starting the Thai Chilis to go on my desk. But also have more Carolina Reaper Seeds, Habanero, 10x “Mystery Super Hot” and just bought some Santaka seeds tonight. This is the first year that we’ve been able to have a garden since we’ve been together, and we’ve sort of gone overboard.

Updated photo of the bigger pumpkin plant. The one behind it seems to be doing ok, though hasn’t taken off like this one has.

Our 4 plant cherry tomato “bush”. Already some baby tomatoes and hundreds of buds. Freyja loves cherry tomatoes and can’t seem to get enough of them.

Because I'm not quite right in the head, I woke up this morning with an urge to try making crackers from scratch. I wanted to emulate those savory-sweet whole grain crisps that go so well with wine and cheese. After about four hours, I finished with perhaps 12 dozen. I suppose at a nice market that would cost $30-40, making the economics of the adventure quite silly. These began as a whole wheat sour dough, blended with about an equal portion of cooked and cooled quinoa, plus honey, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, fennel seeds and rosemary. I rolled them as thin as I could between parchment paper sheets for the first bake, and then cut them into rectangles for a second low bake to dry out. They turned out amazing, but now I appreciate the overpriced little packages we find at Trader Joe's.

That's amazing! I'd never have even considered making crackers.

I'd want to cover them in cheese though, and vegan cheese isn't amazing...

Yeah... for me, cheese would be the dividing factor between being vegetarian and vegan. Cheese is more important than meat in my brain. It's like heroin to a junky. Although, these would be good with hummus, ajvar and babaganoush.
