Maybe in the UK construction workers are more careful to not drop screws in the road and driveways like apathetic Americans. Every single flat I have had in the last 20 years was because of a nail or a screw. And I've had a few. So effing annoying. We also have ladders falling off of trucks on the highway. Can you imagine? 70-80 mph and blam!

Looking at new car options at the moment, I’m having to take on board the notion that ever-larger cars can’t accommodate a spare wheel. Some have a collapsible spare wheel, which shook me until I found out what it was.

…and some have no spare at all any more, even if they don’t have run flats.

Patch never plug unless it is temp fix. Then get it patched later.

They are so wide though. Takes up all but a few inches in a lane. Hopefully your drivers there are better staying between the lines than the ones down here.

Now that the V6 manual Jag F-Type is dead, I think the Supra just became the most desirable car on the market under $100K to me. Funny how it even looks better knowing there’s a manual inside. Still a little busy, but I can live with that.
Have you driven one? They have a very tight cockpit that makes the F-Type feel spacious which it's not. I felt like the door, tunnel and very close roof where squishing me and I'm not that tall.

But but many of the drivers down here are from up there.

Oh but man oh man, I saw an F type on the road the other day... one of the few really great looking modern cars. I really like it. The Supro isn't my cup of tea, but I can see it being desirable.

Definitely wide and it's going to be an adventure on my narrow not very well maintained roads with no shoulder and lots of old growth trees and telephone poles.Winter will be worse with snowbanks narrowing the roads but I don't drive much less than a thousand miles a month I think I will adapt

Not yet, but I have heard that before, so you’re not the only one. More motivation for me to get these crunches in, I guess.
