Did you upgrade the intercooler or add downpipe?

Yes, although, the tunnel and strut brace were installed at the same time, but the difference in handling/cornering was significantly better than with just the H&R rear sway bar previously installed. I had a front strut brace installed prior, but removed it as it was not an adequate one, created some weird handling dynamics, and the better ECS was suggested as a major improvement. The downpipe was already installed and the intercooler was also from the GTI "R".

Ha, that has also been suggested by others, until they see me.

It does seem like a lot, but some bikes out there are spinning to 16000-18000 rpm. It's crazy. The V4 engine configuration in the Aprilia sounds very nice, like a MotoGP bike.

Whee! Having given up bikes 30 years ago, I'm clearly out of touch with current tech...

The tech is impressive. Imagine if cars had the same displacement to power. A 1000cc naturally aspirated BMW M1000RR makes 205hp. 1L = 205hp naturally aspirated.
