Yeah that's what I remember too - don't recall a brand name though I'm afraid. Pop on down and have one!

I think I drank my yearly quota that afternoon. Good to get all of my drinking out of the way in January so I have to find other things to do the rest of the year.
Cheers,
Michael

I prefer to pace myself and spread it throughout the year. Except for Thanksgiving two years ago when I passed out at the table. In my defense, I didn't realize how much Captain my wife had put into the hot spiced cider. Hey, if you're going to have a designated driver than you should also have a designated drinker. My turn came up!
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

What are you drinking?
Islay for me, usually. Laphroaig or my standard go-to these days, which is Bowmore. The peaty flavor was a revelation—my scotch epiphany. But having become enthusiastic about peaty scotches, I’m finding I understand highland scotches a little better. The is is my first Speyside. My mother bought it for me to enjoy during my current extended visit to help settle my father’s estate. She selected it on the advice of the liquor-store clerk and the price range.
It’s not as smooth as Bowmore, and certainly not as earthy (it is 120 proof cask strength, though, so too much smoothness could be dangerous), but I am still enjoying it immensely.
(My Dad’s budget scotch is drinkable in a pinch I suppose but unworthy enough for even beginner me to notice its shortcomings—I’ll take his Tennessee whiskey, though).
