You could definitely eat two of the three things on the way. The jerk is out, but I think you'd enjoy the Cuban rice and beans and if you've never had habanero pickled bananas, let me tell you, they are a revelation.

Caribbean feast. Jerk chicken, Cuban beans, homemade Pick-a-peppa sauce, habanero pickled bananas and Jamaican style cabbage rice. The beer was much better than Red Stripe.

Still on the 'to eat' list: twinkie, home fries, corn bread, tater tots, key lime pie

Grits are simply ground corn, should be relatively thick not runny, and deserve salt/pepper/butter. Add in cheese or chopped crispy bacon and it becomes a meal by itself. They are certainly better than Cream Of Wheat and par with Oatmeal.

I'll NEVER forget watching my Fort Benning Georgia Army basic training buddy from New Hampshire look at his bowl of grits and pour milk over it.

Twinkies are poison, home fries are great, corn bread is best when made with a bit of sweetened creamed corn to add moisture and flavor, tater tots need to be cooked until crispy which requires 450F and 45minutes regardless of what the cooking instructions say to do, and Key Lime Pie is a winner!
