    No bourbon on any of those days, but always liquor. The closest we came to bourbon was Basil Hayden's dark rye.

    Last night, I had some of my father’s Jim Beam. Not my favorite, but it is this week. He died last Saturday, age 92, in good health up to the moment when he just suddenly left us, while sipping brandy and watching his beloved Aggies win the Orange Bowl.
