Very nice. A little warmer here so I had a short cigar and Beefeaters martini.

    Stay warm!

We seem to drink quite a lot of this - or maybe I just remember the label.

That’s great stuff. I have never been to Turkey but there is a good Turkish restaurant a few blocks walk from my apartment in NYC. They do a very nice Turkish coffee. Coffee in a typical Arab restaurant is quite similar and also amazing. (I have sampled it in Egypt, Israel, Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, and the Oakland neighborhood of Brooklyn.)

...American whiskey has an e, and Canadian whisky doesn't ?
I knew Scotch has no e but Irish does; but the above is new to me.
Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.

New to me too, but correct, apparently. I didn’t know about Japan either -

Whiskey or Whisky—How to Spell It?

Both spellings of the word, whiskey and whisky, are correct. The tricky part is matching the right spelling with the right country of origin. If you’re talking about a drink that’s been made in Scotland, Canada, or Japan, use the spelling without the e—whisky. When referring to drinks distilled in the United States or Ireland, use the e—whiskey.

I think you’ve inspired me to get some good ground Turkish coffee and a pot and learn how to make this.

I had no idea. That is cool.

it has been a while, but Turkish tea is much more of a challenge given the way desired to heat it. Hope you enjoy!
