For a blend, it is really quite good!

I tried Laphroaig once, it tasted like spoiled cough syrup. I tried for 3 months to give away the bottle and couldn't find a taker so down the drain it went. Sad but true.

I don’t much like any of it. We have some in the house (Highland Park) but I don’t even know where it came from.
I can distinguish between types, spot the flavours, etc., but it all seems like a brown chemical. Brandy is worse, though.
Prompted by this thread, I had a glass of Highland Park the other day, trying to find something nice about it. It was OK, but it might be a year before I go back for another.

I thought the same, and then one day I didn’t.
I had a glass of Oban over the weekend, but missed the mild peatyness of the Bowmore.
Laphroaig is over the top, admittedly. Still, I like it.

Never have been able to get into scotch. I've tried several times, but it just doesn't take. Bourbon, on the other hand...
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I was the same, but that changes when you find the right Scotch WHISKY. Try Macallan 12 or 15 or 18 year.
