Read my latest IWL blog entry! An Ode To Rule Breaking
When the weight on your wrists gets old along with the raked over the tank riding position that is a fantastic choice. The last bike I had was a Triumph Bonneville 800cc twin. It had the only modern bike I've ridden most comfortable seat that I could easily go the 3-4 hours on and still want to get back on it. The bars allowed your to ride nice and upright and the engine had plenty of power to navigate along and pass at an 70-100mph pace. The speed tripple I had before that none of those things could be said about it. Yes it was a wheelie monster and it was very fast, but comfort was not part of the program.
Cheers,
Michael

I think it is pretty ugly but it also seems like it would be an absolute stupid amount of fun. Also it is cheap and should be easy to maintain. If I am honest the most I could see riding a motorbike is in fall and spring cause summer in Alabama in a full helmet and pads sounds absolutely godawful.

I am going the opposite way. I have been driving a Ford Ranger and now a Honda Element mostly recently and god I miss low fun cars. Next year after the new garage is built.
Is the hardtop Wrangler really that much more quite then the softtop? Cause the one I was in was not exactly quite. I think the best thing I have done as far as my sanity was talk my wife out of a Wrangler as her car.

I've not been in the new one, but take it out and go on the highway and hit about 70 in both. The hardtop will seem like a Lexus. In town it is fine and it gives you and excuse to take the long way. If you do less than 70mph here you'll get run over on the highway.
In the last 20 years I've had the following convertibles and sports cars in our garage: 2002 TTQuatro, Lexis SC430, 2009 Porsche Cab 4S, 2009 Jaguar XKR, 2002 Jaguar XK8 (Still own), 2015 Jaguar FType R, 2017 Jaguar F-TypeS, and a Lexus LC500.
The LC is kind of redundant for it's use now that I brought the XK8 back in February. In all honesty the XK8 shows Jaguars mastery of suspension tuning for ride while keeping 85% of the sports cars. Not the surgical scalpel the F-Type is but it also could run over RR tracks at 50 like nothing which would knock the front spoiler off of the F-Type. The Bronco will get used more than any other possible vehicle and we may take up a bit of overlanding on weekends. They demoed an Overland setup on Bronco Nation event last week that looks really cool.

No manual with the V6 plus I'm not chancing it is like the Wrangler and my wife can't reach the pedals. There has not been any Bronco launch events in my area to go and sit in one to determine that. You might not have seen my later post about the transmission. There are quite a few extra features with the V6 and 10speed auto that I want to have more than a manual. I want this one to work out like the Toyota FJ for my wife liking to drive it, but not have the list of issues that plagued that one so it was taken back by Toyota. The FJ was an automatic. I might still have the Jeep if I bought an automatic so it was easy for her to drive. The roof on the Jeep I could fix by buying a hard top, but swapping trans is a quite a few parts including a new radiator to change over. I've driven Jeeps with both off road, and personally the one pedal mode for the automatic off-road on the Bronco and the way an automatic can load the wheels is better for the off-road conditions in Florida.
