But the taste is actually quite mild and unremarkable; frankly a bit of a disappointment. It lacks the catch-your-throat pettiness of a Laphroaig or Ardbeg.
Certainly worth a try if you like Islay malts, depending on what it costs. Of course, I don’t know as it was a gift.
Edit: it runs about $100 a bottle based off the web. I don’t know what this is in £ anymore!

I know, it sounds gross, but it is really quite good. Not going to lie: it is sweet. It’s not my regular bourbon (Wiggley Bridge, a local Maine distiller) but it makes for a nice change of pace.
