Maybe I should get an elise.

I had a ride in my mate's 4c the other day - 1.7l 4 pot and it sounds like a nascar! Weighs 950kg - the interior is pure carbon fibre, no carpet. Great fun.
I had an Elise with an aftermarket supercharger for nine years. It was a barrel of fun, but not as an everyday car.

I really need to know what I'll be doing in 6 months from now - commuting or not etc - post covid world. However I treat my commute like a race track so I don't know how much comfort I need.

Definitely get an Elise. Possibly the best car ever made from a driving experience standpoint.

I can see that. Though that’s technically a street legal car, I put things like Lotus 7 replicas and Ariel Atoms in the trackday car category, which I consider separately. The Elise is the best driving experience of a regular car, one with doors and a full windscreen.

If anyone is interested in turning their Apple Car Play to wireless Apple Car play this could be an option for you. I recently picked it up for the A4 and it works really well. Takes about 15-20 sec to boot up, but now I don’t even have to take my phone out of my pocket. Waze and Spotify work great.

Only downside so far is I get the “Your cellphone is still in the car” message whenever I turn off the ignition.

I use this one, works very well, takes a little less time than that to boot up. I don’t get that message, but that could be car-specific.

That was the other one I was considering. It is an Audi message. Would get that before if I left it plugged in and turned off the ignition.
