Not Mother’s Day here but it’s my wife’s birthday this weekend. I imagine that me sneaking off to talk watches at 9pm on Saturday would not be met with approving looks. But I’d like to. Maybe I will have to wait until the next one. There’ll be a next one right?

I’ve downloaded the software, so go ahead and send me the necessary.

Can’t promise to log in, but I might.

Giving the collection a light dusting ahead of Sunday

Looking forward to putting faces to wrists :-)
(My sis was amused by the fact that I’m familiar with your forearms and timepieces but little else :-)

I still have some vocal cord paralysis from my neck surgery, but I'll join in and whisper hello.

Over the years of powerlifting, I have damaged my lower cervical spine (C5-7). I've been having serious issues due to those injuries, to correct them and allow me to compete again I had ACDF surgery.

The surgery involves inserting a breathing tube and inflating a balloon so they can breathe for you and not aspirate anything into the lungs. They open the front of the neck up and push everything to the side to gain access to the spine from the front. That pushing to the side puts stress on the vocal cords and can result in temporary paralysis, usually just one. Most commonly, it subsides in a few weeks to a few months.

Mine is much better, still a little more healing to do before I get my big booming voice back.

I calculated it will be Sunday midnight in my neighborhood, and I have to be at work Monday morning. So I have to skip this opportunity, and I’m definitely interested if another meeting comes up at reasonable time for European time zones.

    Enjoy your meeting everyone!

Sorry to hear that, F - we’ll miss you

Perhaps we can do one in future that is Euro morning, including US West Coast nightowls and Asian afternoon
