Ready to remove from the can just after I post these photos.

That is more upsetting than the meat!

    Lol, it’s actually fabulous!
    It’s the *idea* that’s offputting :-)

The fix is in. My salt fix.
I just stocked on salts from Saltworks.

Sel Gris from clay beds in France. It retains minute bits of the minerals for a nice earthy flavor. My every use salt.

Sea salt smoked in used Chardonnay barrel staves. A good finish salt for meats and potatoes.

Alder wood smoked for some seafoods and pork. Very strong smokey taste!

    Food

    Very cool!

    Good salt can change everything

I’ve tried smoked (yum!) and my go to is Maldon Sea Salt (there’s something about scrunching the flakes into whatever you’re seasoning)

Gomasio (salt and sesame) is fab too, particularly in stir fries

Will have to look for some sel gris now :-)

^^ Which in turn reminds me of the fabulous Nom Nom Paleo’s Magic Mushroom Powder

You make it from salt, dried porcini and red pepper flakes, plus a couple of other things
    Umami heaven :-)

... which I presume you would want to use only in the safety of your own home.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.
