Update.
I usually have the Corniche and Dan Henry in my travel bag watch roll along with titanium Seiko beater, normally Casio F-91W and vintage Tissot are in the box.

Just keep at it until you have enough watches that she won't notice a new one.
"Honey, did you buy a new watch AGAIN?!"
"No, just didn't wear this one for some time but I had it for ages."
