There are many others on IWL better qualified than I to advise; but based on what I do know, my initial advice would be: Daylight.
My pics are not the greatest, but are always so much better when taken in daylight. I keep threatening to make myself a light box, but that hasn't happened yet.

yeah natural sunlight helps a lot unless you got all the gadgets that is

A light box....brilliant idea! It’s overcast, today, I’ll play with natural light (no shadows). Thanks for the tip!
