Thread: Replacement for an ST16

  1. #21
Look up the DG3809 here: http://www.ofrei.com/page1119.html

Edit: Looks like there is also the DG3809A which is larger on the dial side for small seconds and date placement.

You'll have to try to see if the seconds and date are outside of the rotor diameter. If it is it's probably the A version.

yeah does look like it could but if we find out the right movement as sure not a st16 and looking at the one you are linking to so do you then their could be a chance of fitting like for like as the right one may be easier to get it was just the st16 seems a bugger to get now ...

side note have they stop making them or are they just selling then now under the TY2806 only

and what you think of going Manuel and the 6498 is it can't remember which way round is it if it ant a screw down they could put in a nice skeleton movement if a showcase back ...

you only really need auto on the pans with the screw down crown I found ?

why I like the 6498 is the easy of parts for it and the hands choice

It's probably not going to fit a Unitas-base because of the date. The auto and date Panerais were based on a smaller Valjoux movement with the Chrono removed.
