Only 100 mph more to go.
It was released last week that Jessi Combs was running at about 550 mph when her jet car disinigrated last August.
Although she doesn't get the record because she didn't survive, everybody in the business knows she reached it, so they know the bar they have to reach to truly achieve acknowledgement.

Some of our European folks surely know this but I just discovered it.
On 28 June, 1914, Archduke Ferdinand was killed while riding in a 1910 Graf & Stiff double phaeton automobile.

Yep, the car has managed to survive in a museum in Vienna.

While it could be known as the automobile that started a world war, it is also the auto that would predict the end of that very war.
    How, you ask?

Urgh - my 3 series has an a 'drivetrain' error and the accelerator seems to rev high then return to normal... Annoying. How much will this cost me?!

Is the check engine light on? Do you have a code reader? I use a simple ELM327 Bluetooth code reader I grabbed from eBay for $20 and the Torque app on Android to scan/read codes.

It sounds like the control module, due to the revving. In the US it would run $1700 - $1800 to replace.
The warning can mean quite a few other things like bad plugs, fuel problem, bad coil, and others but with the revs popping, I'd guess it's the ecm.
I don't know much about newer cars but that sounds like the place to start. You'll need to get a true diagnosis run to be sure.
    Good luck.

Geoff, the reason I go for the ecm is, most other problems that would set off the warning tend to do things like make the engine miss, vibrate, lose power, etc.

Not always, emission system faults can set codes with no drivability issues.
