Don’t be too jealous, most of our roads are just perpetually under construction.

They stopped construction work on our roads in 1895 - still have the original tarmac on them.

You were lucky. We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt

Very nice! Despite what happened to my S4, I would replace it with another, but manual, one.

Tarmac was invented in 1902. Maybe you have rare prototype roads in Steyning.

It was a 900SS SP that I spent a ridiculous amount of money on magnesium this and carbon fiber that and boxes of titanium internal engine parts and hardware. It had a Fast by Ferracci big bore kit. I think the frame, the wiring harness and headlight were all that was left from the original bike by the time I got done. My first Ebay experience was selling all the parts from it. My brother still has his bone stock one that I keep trying to talk him into selling me.

Actually bollocks that's dry weigh again - damn you ducati! 190kg wet - 420lb. And £72k.
