Yes, I'm totally contesting that. I don't run a restaurant, just my own kitchen. I am not misguided in the slightest, despite your insistence.

I have no need to Google (or Bing) things that I already understand.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

Just so you know, my family have been running restaurants in London (and surrounding) for over 30 years so I'm pretty familiar with food hygiene (I have my heath and safety certificates, well I did because you have to get re-tested every couple of years and I haven't had to hold a food hygiene cert since I was 20).

    FYI
The question around food-hygiene when it comes to fish is such that in the US, all fish that is to be sold for raw consumption has to have been frozen.
In a lot of cases, fish, especially those destined for import are frozen the moment they are landed on the boat.

That (FDA ruling) is an extreme case, which is why I started with the qualified statement that "sashimi fish is often frozen" (in the US it is nearly almost always but not everywhere else has that blanket ruling)
Certain fish is always frozen; most notably salmon that is full of parasites that freezing kills.
The fish I mentioned earlier that doesn't need to be frozen but is, is the good old tuna. If you've ever been to Tsukiji Market, the surprising thing is that there is just as much frozen tuna as there is non-frozen.

I hate that. I feel like I'm insulting my own food when I eat a nice meal, and then 10 minutes later climb into a bag of pretzels.

Assuming you're quoting me - yeah - me too. It's very rare but I messed up my meal times today by being off work. I wanted crisps but we didn't have any (or nuts) so I went with another potato based snack.

Dinner tonight was a protein shake. I ate a late lunch due to my schedule, so I figured it best to just not eat dinner

Not if you're working out (or more specifically bulking, which I'm assuming as you're on the shakes?) If so then always eat.
