Table saws basically, lots of them, to cut up roof slates , this building is literally half way up a mountain. It fell out of use in 1969 (was started nearly 200 years prior to this !!)
It's colloquially known as Electric Mountain nowadays because underneath and inside the mountain there is a Hydrolectric power station - AKA Dinorwig Power station - the largest in europe

I decided I no longer needed two cars. Traded a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and a Nissan Rogue for this new Hyundai Tucson Night Edition. I really like it

So....the Corvette is dead. The C7, after only 5 years (C6 was 8 years, C5 was 7, C4 was 12) is being replaced by a mid-engine, automatic-only car they're going try to call the Corvette. Unbelievable. Let me guess, the next F150 is going to be a minivan? The next 911 will be a sedan?

Well, the mid-engine 'Vette has been coming for at least 30 years; inevitable in this day and age, I guess, and same for ditching the manual. I'm more depressed by the high end sports cars all going to very complex hybrid systems instead of pure internal combustion. The mild hybrid in my Mercedes works wonderfully, but I dislike the idea in a supercar. Seems like you lose a lot of that visceral sports car feel.
I hear you on manual transmissions, but other than Porsche, who's still using them in high performance sports cars? Not Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren...or Formula One for that matter.
