I'm realistic with it. The cars are enjoyable, but there's always a trade off. I bought this one well and saw second generation CTS-V values falling, so it was a good time to cash out and try again.

I picked up a 2017 ZL1 convertible with ~3000 miles. I searched for a car with the 10 speed automatic and I'm not disappointed. Jointly developed by Ford and GM, it's a sweet piece of hardware.

I sold my 2011 CTS-V wagon to purchase this car, so it will be my fair weather daily driver..

There are a lot of reviews of this car in A10 and M6 form floating around, so I'll keep my comments on it brief.

The handling is incredible. Everything the mags and numbers say are true. It sticks. Some of it is down to the fairly large Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires. They're just this side of an R compound. Power is obviously very good. 650hp/650tq in a 3900lbs car isn't going to blow you away, but power is everywhere and boost comes in much earlier than in the LSA in my V wagon. The ratios in the A10 are very tight, so the engine stays where it makes the most power.

Interior quality is better than my Cadillac, worse than just about anything German or Japanese The tech is good, plenty of Android Auto integration, BT, etc. Launch control, built in line lock, all kinds of driving modes, including stealth to quiet the car down. Top up or down is quieter than my Corvette, but that's not saying a ton. The soundtrack with the top down and exhaust in track mode has kept me from testing the stereo. If I had neighbors, they'd likely be complaining.

So, happy so far. I hope it's as reliable as my Cadillac was, no issues with the car in the 3+ years I owned it.
Woah bro! Happy birthday! That looks mean af - I'm jealous. Drive it like you stole it.

Congratulations, Wayne! Although, I am going to miss the Cadillac.

    That’s not a ten speed, that’s a CVT

What sort of rev range does this engine have ?

Meh. They probably seem cooler to you across the pond because they are not as ubiquitous as they are over here, whereas Triumphs and Ducatis are much fewer on the ground in the US. It's kind of like how Japanese react to squirrels when they are in the US--they are fascinated by them because they don't exist in Japan, but to us they're just everyday rodents...
