I appreciate that cauliflower has even less flavor than broccoli, so I can do anything I want to it and it'll just taste like that. I like to whip my cauliflower into a healthy mashed potato substitute. Little butter, little salt, and it's a nice way to cut carbs.

Without broccoli and brussel sprouts I'd consider leaving vegetables. Both are amazing, neither lacks flavor. Broccoli certainly does not have a strong flavour, but that doesn't make it flavourless. My preference for both is grilling, I'll steam veggies for the kids but not for myself. Steaming absolutely reduces flavour and insults texture.

    Apple pie
Bramley apples, thinly sliced and lightly sauted with a bit of butter, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and a half a glass of orange juice.
Crust was short but I made a mistake in storing it in the refrigerator overnight after it had cooled to room temp so it got a little too hard. One or two sections of the "lid" was thicker in places.
Not too bad for a first try.
Liking making desserts Bute HATE the clear up afterwards.
