    One for the ladies.

Hi there , i know i'll get shot for the title . A little background first , my good lady bought home this the other day from her mother who was clearing stuff out and gave her this watch which was her mothers (with me so far) . So after opening it up found it was a hand wind 17 Jewel 1601A movement and from what i can gather is made by Chaika . It only took a couple of winds and away it went . What puzzles me is it is Sekonda branded but her gran died in 1962 and i thought sekonda started in 63 or 4 . Anyway here are some pic's of it and one i borrowed when it was new . The crystal is not scratched it's some sort of cracking effect . DW.

That crazing looks like what happens with polycarbonate/acrylics that have been exposed to too much UV/sunlight. (or a little over a long time)

Yes, the movement is lovely ... and little.
