Macaroni cheese. Delicious, if a bit unhealthy.

First attempt at English muffins. They were a bit dark but pretty delicious. The breakfast patty is a heavily spiced 60/40 blend of pork butt and chicken. I also made a hot sauce from the homemade green cayenne sauce and honey from a friend.

My wife's compassion for animal's lives is rubbing off on me which, as a foodie, sucks! Meat is delicious, but I feel guilty so eat very little.

I don't eat all that much either. That breakfast patty was 2 ounces and that will likely be all the meat I eat today. I buy almost all of my meat from the people who raise it. I know my chicken farmer, bison rancher, cattle rancher by name. The guy I buy my pork from sources it from a couple of trusted sources. All of the meat I buy is pastured/ grass fed/ field raised by people who love and care for their livestock. No factory farm meat for me, though I try not to eat factory farm vegetables either.

    I no longer eat cephalopods.

I'm more inclined to eat seafood than mammals. I'd far more readily kill a squid than a cow.

I try not to eat anything that smart. I will eat squid or octopus in a dish if presented to me, but won't order one. I am even having trouble ordering squid ink pasta. Justifying it by pointing out that it's actually cuttefish ink doesn't really work for me anymore. They are only slightly less intelligent than squid or octopus.

It’s been scientifically proven that animals get sad when you don’t eat them.
