And what a better way to end than Mort Subite Lambic from Kobbegem.
Over and out.

I'm driving so drinking alcohol free beer for some reason. Not nice. I should sip protein shakes or nutrition drinks instead.

What is the point of those
I don’t get pissed on pint after pint after pint - I’m quite happy with a single pint , maybe two on a good day .... but I can’t see the point at all in drinking that without the bonus of the accompanying slight hit of alcohol

Totally fair points. I'm sitting chatting with a mate and because I'm a brit I feel the need to be drinking something. As I'm driving it can't be alcoholic so I'm looking at alternatives.
However, saying 'whats the point of 0%' suggests that you solely drink beer to get drunk.
If it tastes as good as a nice ale I'd be happy, but alas it doesn't. Like I say maybe I should chug orange juice instead, or protein shakes.

I drink beer because I really enjoy it. I think I know a thing or 2 about beer, it's rooted deep in our society, even children drink what we call "tablebeer". It has a really low % of alcohol, between 1 and 2%, but it's brewed different than a lager beer and has it's own specific taste. I tried different 0.0% lager beers and not one i liked. I think virgin cocktails are a great alternative to sip on together with alcohol drinking mates. I really like virgin mojito's and other cocktails. About 85% of the pubs here can serve them, and they serve more of them than 0.0% beer. Ofcourse I can have a coloured opinion about that cos we really have a omnipresent and vivid beer culture and tradition. I like San Miguel on hollidays cos they have 75cl bottles and it's wayyyyy better than the Heineken pisswasser you find in other country's
Cheers!

I think part of the issue is that there aren’t any good tasting nonalcoholic beers. They’re all meant to taste like Budweiser or some other low price, mass market beer.
When I’m out and not drinking, I usually just have a Diet Coke (possibly with like) or a ginger ale.

I wish breweries would start to make various non-alcoholic beers with proper taste. Would rather have those instead of ginger ale while I’m out and driving.
