Now on my Jag I was able to use the few parts (Pulleys) and code flash (from the factory) for the S to get it up to the S type power output and stay in warranty. The dealer did the work so I knew it was sanctioned.

Here in the several publications, the Type R has bested everything on your list (Except I don't believe the BMW is sold here). So don't discount it because it is front wheel drive only.
The dealer also told me that even 400hp is no problem with the stock clutch and transmission, but he advised to opt for a larger intercooler then. It's only a software tune for higher power. I think you guys have lower stock hp cos your gas is low octane. Here we have 95 as lowest octane (euro95) and 98 octane is super+, all available at the gasstation, and for higher performance you can buy octaneboosters to go above 100 octane.

Our one model has all of those carbon fiber things. If they put it on a dyno then that would have to be HP at the wheels. Wow. What you said about the octane makes sense. My understanding is here the Accord and the Acura RDX have the exact same exact same engine, but the RDX is tuned for 93 octane premium here and makes 275 and the Accord which runs on regular makes 252. An extra PSI or two on the turbo could make up that difference.

The car magazines over here complain that the car looks too boy racer, and no one mature would want one. I think they look cool, and I'm old.

The "regular" type R also has carbon but its a sticker, not real carbon. Here https://www.br-performance.be/en-be/...-r/?stage=8627 you can check the stage 2 chip. I always envy US prices on cars, if i lived there i would own a Crown Vic police interceptor but here we get taxed on cc's and co²

I've been in the tuning game long enough to never trust any dyno numbers from dealers, pro tuners, or magazines, unless you know their exact methodology, Dyno, and everything is documented properly. Even then it's suspect.

In this case I would never make the assumption that it's at the wheels. Some "convert" to crank, some can legitimaty measure drivetrain losses on coast-down. It's a shady game most of the time.

Also, I-B. The 'Ring has too much driver variable to be a good test.

The ring comes close to the roads i drive. My country is a fast country with good drivers roads and we Belgians have little to no regards for speedlimits. Here you drive on b-roads like the Ardennes, than go on the highway with +200kph in to Germany and blast on the autobahn, so for us it's quite representative cos at the ring (=Eifel) you can have sun, rain, mist in the same lap as well all the corners. There are no straight roads here

*edit : this dealer takes of the wheels of the cars and attach the dyno to the axes of the car, he is known for his tuning work and he was a wel known racing and rally driver. I have seen how he works on cars in the past

That's because you're old and out of touch with what's cool now.

    Don't worry.

    So am I.

I think people think Priuses are cool now. Or even cooler would be like a solar powered bicycle.
